Today when i logged out, i got a windows popup message/window asking if i really wanted to logout.
I think its the first time i notice this, considering i'm paranoid i don't trust this at all. So, anyone else suddenly get this also? (I do not click yes or no in this popup, i use alt-f4 to shut down firefox.)

I think firefox is really screwed up. I keep being logged out and it's a combination of FF and the infrastructure itself. No warning messages, just lose the lot.
Doesn't matter if I logout (FF browser) to try to clear cookies - I can still appear as an active user on the forums display bottom left page, despite refreshing the page and not showing as logged in on the top right of forum page. These days I don't log on permanently with FF although the log outs are less frequent if logged on permanently. YouTube also doesn't like FF much either the wheels just spin.... FF turns me off the internet/forum. I have removed FF and re-installed, doesn't matter. IT USED TO BE stable but not sure which version was.... Internet Explorer 6 is far more stable, so when using that, remain permanently logged on with it. However, being suspicious of IE6 it's rarely used. I have Chrome installed but not kept up todate with it's security measures. Yep, I do an antivirus update / AV check which are automatically scheduled... Consequently, I have halved my down load speed seeing as it is so utterly pointless to pay and get so little... edit: also think it has something to do with FF always asking my security device to type in passwords each time the home page comes up (despite FF being set to permanently remember). which is why i rarely shut down my computer and leave a FF page open, just to avoid that security device message. i am bad about doing Spybot checks tho... running it now... solution is to wipe drive securely, re-install XP Pro and start from scratch.....

Doesn't do it on me FF 3.0.4 Ubuntu 8.10 but I don't have the "always remember login" set either.

This thing - this "log out" thing of which you speak. I know it not. Should I know this "log out" thing? Is it important? It seems ... inconvenient. Like pants.

Shaving is inconvenient, so is butt hair imho.
Anyway, in the titlebar of the windows popup is the following text; "The page at http://forums.raven-games.com says:" In the popup window is the text "Are you sure you want to log out?" Then there are the two buttons "OK" and "Cancel" As said, first day i noticed this windows popup. Is this a Firefox thingy, or does this forum generate this popup? |

It's just Firefox asking ye if you really want to log out or not. It might have something to do with the "always remember login" thing. Some forums give me the message and some don't. It's kind of silly... how often does somebody accidentally click on the logout button when they don't want to. heh.
